Junk mail quickly accumulates in my letterbox. It's my source material for pointless text collages, mismatching patterns and purposeless websites. The unique language of advertising serves as my playground to explore consumerism and the lives we lead as a result of it. This is a collection of contemporary guilty pleasures. The title of the project is inspired by a quote “Bist ein Baustein unter vielen” taken from an interview with unknown from the book “Leben im Plattenbau - Zur Dynamik sozialer Ausgrenzung (Carsten Keller)”.

To celebrate its 5th anniversary the works were exhibited between 19.12.2015 and 13.02.2016 at (((unterholz))), Arthur-Hoffmann-Str. 47, Leipzig.
